Building Walls of Wisdom is thrilled to announce that we have exceeded our fundraising goal for the Tua Primary School project! Not only will we be able to construct a desperately needed classroom for the community but we can also purchase much needed educational materials for the school as well.
With the construction of a rain water harvesting tank (to supply clean water at the school year round) and a set of pit latrines (to provide proper sanitation) constructed earlier this year the Tua community is now ready to flourish. These other pillars of development were funded and constructed by our outstanding project partner Create Change.
We are equally excited about the sheer number of people involved in raising awareness and capital for this particular initiative. With well over 200 individuals making personal donations and participating in Building Walls of Wisdom events this is easily the most people we have had involved in a single project. In the last four months we received proceeds from an Ultimate Frisbee tournament, Feb Fast campaign, high school student talent show, euchre tournament and of course our tremendously successful doubling initiative.
