This month Zeina Moussa along with the support of Teresa Rinderer, two remarkable individuals from the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, organized a jewelry sale event for the second year running to raise funds for Building Walls of Wisdom. The fundraiser generated close to $3000 in contributions for our current project in Jardines de Apoyo, Nicaragua.
The all day open house style event gave people the opportunity to drop-in have a bite to eat and casually browse through a large selection of jewelry, Arabic hand-painted porcelain pieces and clothing.
We, alongside the organizers of the event, would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Kimberley Alford from KUDIBAL clothing, Inger Jacobsson the representative from SNO of Sweden, Eman Shawkat an Arabic jewelry designer and Maha Fawzi an artist who works with porcelain, who generously donated proceeds from their sales, to BuildWoW.
Thank you to Zeina and Teresa for hosting the event and to all the individuals from the community, who attended the open house and contributed in purchases and donations.
Below are a couple pictures from the event – thanks again for everyone who participated!
