Geoff had a busy few months this fall sharing the story of Building Walls of Wisdom and inspiring audiences around the world. He had the opportunity to speak at a number of schools in Canada and Asia including; his very own grade school St. Paul’s, Georgian College (our first college visit), and the Singapore American School. His whirlwind tour culminated Kuala Lumpur where he met up with Ken Fernandez (Director of Chapter Relations and Development) where they spent the week at Mont’ Kiara International school.
The Mont’ Kiara International school visit was an incredible experience with Building Walls of Wisdom impacting the entire school community. Reaching out to large audiences during assemblies Geoff and Ken delivered engaging talks that sharing their experiences, and dreams. These were followed by small group workshops for students who were inspired to connect their talents, skills and interests to a cause that they were passionate about.
To watch Ken & Geoff in action, please feel free to watch the following video clips:
- Ken speaks to young students about empathy in the broader context of global citizenship
- Geoff discusses his journey & first encounter with poverty
Ken and Geoff left Kuala Lumpur humbled and inspired by the experience with a new sense of hope in the next generation of global citizens. The faculty, students and parents were truly amazing and BuildWOW couldn’t be more grateful for their friendship and support. A special thanks to Whitney Baker for organizing the event and the entire school community for their generous donation in support of the Tofika Primary and Yapala Primary school projects!
